WWE Superstars Results 5.7.09 - Morrison versus Jericho

Superstars opens with World Heavyweight Champion Edge hosting his Judgment Day opponent Jeff Hardy on his interview segment “The Cutting Edge.” The two men bring up their long-standing history before the inevitable brawl erupts. Jeff gains the upper hand in the brawl, leaving Edge lying with a Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb.

In the RAW match of the night, “Santina” Marella & Kelly Kelly beat Rosa Mendes & Beth Phoenix.

In the ECW match of the night, Finlay beat the newly reinvented Zack Ryder with the Celtic Cross. Ryder’s new metrosexual gimmick looks as if it may have some legs, but I question jobbing him out in the first match under the new gimmick.

In the SmackDown match of the night, Chris Jericho beat John Morrison in a pretty good match thanks to interference from Shelton Benjamin.

TNA Impact Results 5.7.09 - Sting’s Sacrifice

Impact opened in the same way it always seems to open, with a Main Event Mafia promo. Kurt Angle, on behalf of the Mafia, really says a whole lot other than complain about the 10-man tag main event for later evening. This draws out NA World Champion Mick Foley and Christopher Daniels, who really say nothing of importance. Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles then come out so Jarrett can argue with Foley, and nothing is accomplished.

TNA X-Division Champion Suicide pinned Consequences Creed in a non-title match.

In his office, Mick Foley books Matt Morgan in a match against Main Event Mafia Security.

They then aired a pre-recorded sit-down interview with the entire Main Event Mafia, but nothing earth shattering was discovered.

Matt Morgan beat The Main Event Mafia Security (Big Rocco & Sally-Boy) in a handicap match.

Beer Money (“Tennessee Cowboy” James Storm & Robert Roode) beat Eric Young & “The Outlaw” Jethro Holliday a semi-finals match of the Team 3-D Tag Team Invitational. Team 3-D came out and did commentary for he match. The one good thing that Impact did this was stress their quality of tag team wrestling and this match was a great example of it. It was a great segment highlighting on their company’s strengths, but almost went too far when they namedropped Jim Ross in commentary.

The Awesome Kong beat Velvet Sky in a stretcher match.

In Dr. Stevie’s office, Stevie Richards meets with Abyss and Daffney and announces that Daffney will be in the first-ever women’s Monster’s Ball match at Sacrifice and wants Abyss to be in her corner.

Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed come out to the ring and call out Christopher Daniels, again asking him if he is the man under the Suicide mask. Daniels gets offended by the accusations and is interrupted by The Motor City Machineguns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) who fire off some smarky comments and vow to unmask Suicide next week.

Backstage in the locker room, Jeff Jarrett agrees with Sting that if Sting pins Mick Foley in the main event tag match tonight he will be in the main event at Sacrifice.

The Main Event Mafia (Kurt Angle, Sting, Kevin Nash, Booker T & Scott Steiner) beat TNA World Champion Mick Foley, Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels & Samoa Joe) when Sting pinned Foley. As a result Sting will be a part of the four-way TNA World Title match at Sacrifice. After the match, Sting announces that if he gets pinned in that match at Sacrifice he will retire.

Josh Matthews interviewed “All-American American” Jack Swagger mid-ring who ran down Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer hits the ring to attack Swagger who runs off.

Vladimir Kozlov pinned local talent Jesse Gullmette.

Backstage, Gregory Helms interviewed Mark Henry & Tony Atlas about Henry’s main event match with Christian.

ECW Champion Christian versus Mark Henry (with Tony Atlas) ended in a no-contest when both Swagger and Dreamer interfered. Tiffany then came out and booked a tag team match between the four men.

Jack Swagger & Mark Henry beat Christian & Tommy Dreamer when Swagger pinned Dreamer.

WWE RAW Results 5.4.09 - Shane Gets Pillmanized

Published by msatrang under WWE RAW Results Edit This

The opening match between Randy Orton and Shane McMahon never gets started as it degenerates into a brawl between the two men, soon followed up Batista, MVP, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, who all brawl with each other as well. RAW General Manager comes out and books MVP versus Rhodes and Batista versus DiBiase for later tonight. The winners of those two respective matches can join their partner(s) in the main event match between McMahon and Orton.

Kofi Kingston pinned Matt Hardy with Trouble in Paradise. After the match, Matt laid out Kingston with his arm cast.

Backstage, Santino Marella makes fun of Vickie Guerrero to Chavo Guerrero, so I guess he’s a face now.

In Vickie’s office she books Big Show versus John Cena for Judgment Day.

Cody Rhodes beat WWE United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter by a count out. As a result Rhodes will join Orton in the main event match.

Jerry “The King” Lawler hosted an in-ring sing-off between Jillian Hall and Festus. Not surprisingly it turned into a big waste of time and the crowd picked Festus the winner. Thankfully The Miz shows up and throws Festus out of the ring and calls out John Cena for the second week in a row. Miz fires off some great insults about Cena and his popularity and movie career. After a commercial break Cena finally stumbles out to confront Miz, but Big Show also arrives. Miz disappears into nowhere while Big Show puts on a painfully slow and dull beat down on Cena.

Mickie James beat WWE Divas Champion Maryse in a non-title match.

Ted DiBiase beat Batista by disqualification match, making the main event a 3-on-1 handicap match.

One half of the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito pinned The Brian Kendrick.

Shane McMahon versus Legacy (Orton, DiBiase & Rhodes) ended in a no-contest when Legacy attacked McMahon outside the ring and “Pillmanized” his angle with the ring steps.

WWE SmackDown Results 5.1.09 - Fatal Four Way

Chris Jericho opens SmackDown and claims to be the biggest superstar on SmackDown, and doesn’t like that he has to compete in a four way match tonight to earn a World Championship match. World Champion Edge arrives on the scene and mocks Jericho and reminds him that he beat John Cena to win that belt, something Jericho has never done. CM Punk then interrupts both men and reminds them he has the Money in the Bank briefcase. SmackDown GM Teddy Long comes out books Punk versus Edge for later in the show.

John Morrison pinned Shelton Benjamin with the Moonlight Drive.

Jeff Hardy won the four-way elimination match to earn a World Championship match at Judgment Day.
Order of elimination:
Kane was pinned Chris Jericho.

Jericho was disqualified for using a chair.
Rey Mysterio was pinned by Jeff Hardy.

Cryme Tyme (Shad & JTG) host a dance off between Eve Torres & Layla El, which of course degenerates into a brawl between the ladies.

WWE United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter (with Sherri Shepard from The View) beat Dolph Ziggler to retain the US Championship.

CM Punk beat World Heavyweight Champion Edge in a non-title match with the GTS. After the match, Punk tries to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase but is attacked by the returning Umaga.

WWE Superstars Results 4.30.09 - Carlito versus DiBiase

In SmackDown’s match of the night, Michelle McCool & Alicia Fox beat Gail Kim & Maria when McCool pinned Kim.

In ECW’s match of the night, Evan Bourne pinned Paul Burchill with a Shooting Star Press in another fantastic match between these two men.

Backstage, Josh Matthews interviews Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes about DiBiase’s upcoming match with Carlito.

In SmackDown’s match of the night, Ted DiBiase pinned one half of the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito with Dream Street.

Superstars has already filled into a nice little niche of giving mid-carders valuable television time that they probably wouldn’t be able to get on one of the big shows like RAW or SmackDown.

TNA Impact Results 4.30.09 - “The Godfather’s” Sacrifice

The Main Event Mafia opens the show with their standard group promo. Kurt Angle announces he will be part of the four way World Title match at Sacrifice, and will put up his “Godfather” status of the Main Event Mafia as his “sacrifice” to enter the match.

The Amazing Red & TNA X-Division Champion Suicide beat The Motor City Machineguns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) in a quarterfinal match of the Team 3-D Tag Team Invitational tournament.

The Latin American Xchange (Homicide & Hernandez) versus The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus & Doug Williams, accompanied by Rob Terry) Team 3-D Team Invitational tournament became a handicap match when The British Invasion attacked Hernandez before the match started. In a handicap match The British Invasion beat Homicide to advance in the tournament.

The Awesome Kong beat Madison Rayne in a Stretcher Match.

The Motor City Machineguns hit the ring and call out Chris Daniels, claiming that he is the man under the Suicide mask. Daniels denies the claim and ends up laying out both members of The Guns.

Abyss pinned Cody Deaner in match where Deaner could use weapons but Abyss could not.

Booker T & Kevin Nash beat AJ Styles & Samoa Joe when Booker pinned Styles after a shot from the Legends Championship title belt.

Backstage Kurt Angle threatens to attack Mick Foley and take over his office. They go through a painfully long and pointless segment before the lights go out. When they come back on Sting is standing over both a fallen Angle and Foley.

ECW Results 4.28.09 - Dreamer’s Last Stand

Published by msatrang under ECW Results Edit This

RAW General Manager Vickie Guerrero opened the show and introduced new WWE Champion Randy Orton and “Priceless” – Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, Jr. Vickie books The Big Show versus Batista in a number one contender’s match for tonight, with the winner challenging Orton for the Title at Judgment Day. Orton came out to gloat about his victory but was interrupted by WWE United States Champion MVP. It ends up with MVP versus Orton in a non-title match being booked for tonight.

Kofi Kingston beat The Brian Kendrick in about as good of match as you can have in three minutes. I am actually surprised Kendrick even made TV as I feared he would be released.

“Santina” Marella, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly & Nikki Bella beat WWE Divas Champion Maryse, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes when “Santina” pinned Jillian. After the match Hornswoggle pops up underneath the ring with Nikki’s twin Brie. Hornswoggle looks up sees “Santina’s” bulge and hilarity ensues.

Matt Hardy beat Goldust with a shot from his arm cast.

MVP versus Randy Orton went to a no-contest when Shane McMahon interfered and attacked Orton.

The Miz comes out to cut the most phenomenal promo of his career. He namedrops the celebrities he has in his phone and then challenges John Cena to a match right now. Not surprisingly Cena doesn’t show and Miz declares himself the winner via forfeit. Fantastic segment that makes Miz look like a star right out of the gate.

WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo Colon beat Jaime Noble & Chavo Guerrero when Carlito pinned Noble.

Batista beat The Big Show by count out when John Cena arrived and distracted Big Show.

Great show that highlighted some of RAW’s new Draft pickups and made them look like stars right out of the gate, especially MVP and Miz.

WWE Backlash results

Published by msatrang under PPV Results Edit This

In the opening match Christian pinned “All-American American” Jack Swagger to win the ECW Championship.

Chris Jericho beat Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat by submission. This was Steamboat’s first singles match in nearly fifteen years and more than likely will be Steamboat’s final match.

Kane pinned CM Punk.

Jeff Hardy beat his brother Matt Hardy in an “I Quit” match.

In a six-man tag team match where Triple H’s WWE Championship was on the line, “Legacy” – Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase beat Triple H, Batista & Shane McMahon. Orton pinned Triple H after his patented concussion kick to the head. Medics came out to cart off the unconscious Triple H as the crowd sings “Hey Hey Goodbye.”

In the main event Edge beat John Cena in a Last Man Standing match to win his ninth World Heavyweight Championship. The end of the match saw The Big Show come out and chokeslam John Cena off part of the entrance stage. Cena, like Triple H in the previous match, was strapped to a neckbrace and carted off on a stretcher.
