TNA Impact Results for 1.29.09

Published by msatrang at 11:28 pm under TNA Impact Results Edit This

Another mediocre TNA Impact episode aired tonight from the Impact Zone at Universal Studies in Orlando.

This is what happened…

The Main Event Mafia hijacked the show and made it in their own image. Kevin Nash & Booker T became the commentators, Scott Steiner was the ring announcer and Kurt Angle was the backstage producer.

The Kongtourage beat ODB in a four-on-one handicap match.

Booker T beat TNA referees Rudy Charles & Andrew Thomas in a two-on-one handicap match.

Matt Morgan beat Petey Williams in a match where Williams had one hand tied behind his back.

Team 3-D beat Sting in a two-on-one handicap match by DQ when the Main Event Mafia interfered. Mick Foley, Abyss and LAX made the save for Team 3-D.

Foley then takes control of the show for TNA. He puts the usual talking heads back at the announce position and then books Abyss against Scott Steiner in a match where weapons are legal for Abyss, and then puts Kurt Angle in a handicap match against LAX in the main event.

Abyss beat Scott Steiner by disqualification. Suicide then makes the save for Abyss.

TNA’s backstage announcer Lauren interviews a couple cowboys from SpikeTV’s new show “Toughest Cowboy” (synergy!) who bring a real life bull with them. Beer Money (Robert Roode and “Tennessee Cowboy” James Storm) interrupt the proceedings and make fun of them.

Kurt Angle beat LAX in a two-on-one handicap match.
