WWE RAW Results 3.2.09 - Championship Turmoil

Published by msatrang at 11:25 pm under WWE RAW Results Edit This

Monday Night RAW was live tonight from Boston, Massachusetts, and helped shape the road to WrestleMania.

Chris Jericho opened the show hosting his own mock version of Rowdy Roddy Piper’s “Piper’s Pit.” He brought out wrestling legend Superfly Jimmy Snuka in a homage to the original Piper’s Pit segment between Snuka and Piper from back in 1984. This time Snuka didn’t get hit by a coconut, but was attacked by Jericho and the set was destroyed.

Kane beat Mike Knox and Rey Mysterio in a triple threat match to earn a spot in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXV.

Kelly Kelly & Mickie James beat Jillian Hall & Beth Phoenix when Kelly pinned Jillian. After the match, Divas Champion Maryse laid out Womens Champion Melina. Both Champions were providing commentary during the match.

Randy Orton, Legacy and a bevy of security, lawyers and doctors came out to announce that Orton would challenge the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania, rather than WWE Champion Triple H. HHH came out to confront Orton, who threatened to arrest HHH for assault after last week’s attack. The two men continue to have a battle of the words, until Orton changes his mind and opts not to press charges against Triple H, but rather challenge him at WrestleMania instead.

Shawn Michaels pinned Vladimir Kozlov to earn the right to face Undertaker at WrestleMania XXV. After the match Undertaker came out to stare down Michaels.

John Cena beat Edge by disqualification in a World Heavyweight Championship match. After the match SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero came out with Big Show to flank Edge. She then announced that Big Show is the new number one contender for the World Title.
