ECW Results 4.28.09 - Dreamer’s Last Stand

Published by msatrang at 11:08 pm under ECW Results Edit This

RAW General Manager Vickie Guerrero opened the show and introduced new WWE Champion Randy Orton and “Priceless” – Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, Jr. Vickie books The Big Show versus Batista in a number one contender’s match for tonight, with the winner challenging Orton for the Title at Judgment Day. Orton came out to gloat about his victory but was interrupted by WWE United States Champion MVP. It ends up with MVP versus Orton in a non-title match being booked for tonight.

Kofi Kingston beat The Brian Kendrick in about as good of match as you can have in three minutes. I am actually surprised Kendrick even made TV as I feared he would be released.

“Santina” Marella, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly & Nikki Bella beat WWE Divas Champion Maryse, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes when “Santina” pinned Jillian. After the match Hornswoggle pops up underneath the ring with Nikki’s twin Brie. Hornswoggle looks up sees “Santina’s” bulge and hilarity ensues.

Matt Hardy beat Goldust with a shot from his arm cast.

MVP versus Randy Orton went to a no-contest when Shane McMahon interfered and attacked Orton.

The Miz comes out to cut the most phenomenal promo of his career. He namedrops the celebrities he has in his phone and then challenges John Cena to a match right now. Not surprisingly Cena doesn’t show and Miz declares himself the winner via forfeit. Fantastic segment that makes Miz look like a star right out of the gate.

WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo Colon beat Jaime Noble & Chavo Guerrero when Carlito pinned Noble.

Batista beat The Big Show by count out when John Cena arrived and distracted Big Show.

Great show that highlighted some of RAW’s new Draft pickups and made them look like stars right out of the gate, especially MVP and Miz.
