WWE RAW Results 5.4.09 - Shane Gets Pillmanized

Published by msatrang under WWE RAW Results Edit This

The opening match between Randy Orton and Shane McMahon never gets started as it degenerates into a brawl between the two men, soon followed up Batista, MVP, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, who all brawl with each other as well. RAW General Manager comes out and books MVP versus Rhodes and Batista versus DiBiase for later tonight. The winners of those two respective matches can join their partner(s) in the main event match between McMahon and Orton.

Kofi Kingston pinned Matt Hardy with Trouble in Paradise. After the match, Matt laid out Kingston with his arm cast.

Backstage, Santino Marella makes fun of Vickie Guerrero to Chavo Guerrero, so I guess he’s a face now.

In Vickie’s office she books Big Show versus John Cena for Judgment Day.

Cody Rhodes beat WWE United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter by a count out. As a result Rhodes will join Orton in the main event match.

Jerry “The King” Lawler hosted an in-ring sing-off between Jillian Hall and Festus. Not surprisingly it turned into a big waste of time and the crowd picked Festus the winner. Thankfully The Miz shows up and throws Festus out of the ring and calls out John Cena for the second week in a row. Miz fires off some great insults about Cena and his popularity and movie career. After a commercial break Cena finally stumbles out to confront Miz, but Big Show also arrives. Miz disappears into nowhere while Big Show puts on a painfully slow and dull beat down on Cena.

Mickie James beat WWE Divas Champion Maryse in a non-title match.

Ted DiBiase beat Batista by disqualification match, making the main event a 3-on-1 handicap match.

One half of the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito pinned The Brian Kendrick.

Shane McMahon versus Legacy (Orton, DiBiase & Rhodes) ended in a no-contest when Legacy attacked McMahon outside the ring and “Pillmanized” his angle with the ring steps.

WWE RAW Results 4.27.09 - Breakout Stars

Published by msatrang under WWE RAW Results Edit This

RAW General Manager Vickie Guerrero opened the show and introduced new WWE Champion Randy Orton and “Priceless” – Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, Jr. Vickie books The Big Show versus Batista in a number one contender’s match for tonight, with the winner challenging Orton for the Title at Judgment Day. Orton came out to gloat about his victory but was interrupted by WWE United States Champion MVP. It ends up with MVP versus Orton in a non-title match being booked for tonight.

Kofi Kingston beat The Brian Kendrick in about as good of match as you can have in three minutes. I am actually surprised Kendrick even made TV as I feared he would be released.

“Santina” Marella, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly & Nikki Bella beat WWE Divas Champion Maryse, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes when “Santina” pinned Jillian. After the match Hornswoggle pops up underneath the ring with Nikki’s twin Brie. Hornswoggle looks up sees “Santina’s” bulge and hilarity ensues.

Matt Hardy beat Goldust with a shot from his arm cast.

MVP versus Randy Orton went to a no-contest when Shane McMahon interfered and attacked Orton.

The Miz comes out to cut the most phenomenal promo of his career. He namedrops the celebrities he has in his phone and then challenges John Cena to a match right now. Not surprisingly Cena doesn’t show and Miz declares himself the winner via forfeit. Fantastic segment that makes Miz look like a star right out of the gate.

WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo Colon beat Jaime Noble & Chavo Guerrero when Carlito pinned Noble.

Batista beat The Big Show by count out when John Cena arrived and distracted Big Show.

Great show that highlighted some of RAW’s new Draft pickups and made them look like stars right out of the gate, especially MVP and Miz.

WWE RAW Results 4.20.09 - “Live” from England

Published by msatrang under WWE RAW Results Edit This

Chris Jericho opened the show talking about how he was glad to be leaving RAW and heading to SmackDown. Ricky Steamboat interrupts and confronts Jericho. Jericho challenges Steamboat to a match at Backlash. Before Steamboat can answer, John Cena interrupts and basically books himself in a match against Jericho later in the show. Steamboat then accepts Jericho’s challenge for Backlash.

Batista killed Chavo Guerrero in a few seconds.

CM Punk pinned Kane.

Santino Marella comes out and says that his sister “Santina” won’t be able to kiss Great Khali and interviews “her” via pre-recorded tape on the TitanTron. Beth Phoenix comes out and announces that Khali’s Kiss Cam with “Santina” will happen at Backlash.

WWE Women’s Champion Melina pinned Beth Phoenix.

John Cena versus Chris Jericho was a no contest when Edge interfered and attacked both men. Edge then laid out Cena with a spear and a Conchairto.

The Big Show pinned WWE Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio in a non-title match.

Randy Orton pinned WWE Champion Triple H in a non-title, No Disqualification match.

WWE RAW Results 4.13.09 - The Draft

Published by msatrang under WWE RAW Results Edit This

RAW’s special three-hour draft show opened with Batista, Shane McMahon and WWE Champion Triple H all wanting a piece of Randy Orton. RAW General Manager Vickie Guerrero came out and booked Batista, McMahon and HHH in a handicap match against Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase tonight. If Batista’s team won then the winner of the fall would face Orton next week.

Rey Mysterio (RAW) pinned Evan Bourne (ECW) – RAW gained United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter (and the US Championship) from SmackDown.

Kane (RAW) pinned The Brian Kendrick (SD) – RAW gained The Big Show from SmackDown.

Bakstage Randy Orton confronts Vickie Guerrero and she says that if Rhodes & DiBiase win tonight then no one from the opposing team will face Orton next week.

WWE Divas Champion Maryse, Michelle McCool & Natalya Neidhart (SD) beat WWE Women’s Champion Melina, Mickie James & Kelly Kelly (RAW) – SD gained Melina from RAW. As a result Melina and the Women’s Championship is moving to SmackDown.

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena (RAW) made ECW Champion Jack Swagger (ECW) submit. As result RAW gained two draft picks, and picked up both Matt Hardy and WWE Champion Triple H (and the WWE Championship) from SmackDown. It was a pretty good match and helped Swagger looked like a star going toe-to-toe with the company’s poster boy John Cena.

The Great Khali (SD) pinned Santino Marella (RAW) – SD gained CM Punk from RAW.

Kofi Kingston (RAW) beat The Miz (ECW) by disqualification when Miz’s tag team partner John Morrison interfered. – RAW gained The Miz from ECW. As a result Miz turned on Morrison to solidify the split of their long-standing tag team. The match was also surprisingly good and was the tried and true formula of giving two young superstars valuable time on live television to tell a great story and getting the viewers involved.

Edge (SD) won a fifteen-man tri-branded battle royal to gain two draft picks. SD gained both Kane and Chris Jericho from RAW. Team SmackDown included Edge, Chavo Guerrero, R-Truth, Carlito & Primo Colon. Team RAW included Cryme Tyme (JTG & Shad Gaspard), CM Punk, The Big Show & MVP. Team ECW included Paul Burchill, Ricky Ortiz, Tyson Kidd, Mark Henry & Finlay.

Christian (ECW) pinned Shelton Benjamin (SD) – ECW gained Vladimir Kozlov from SmackDown.

Matt Hardy (now from RAW) beat CM Punk (now from SD) by disqualification when Jeff Hardy interfered and attacked his brother Matt. – RAW gained Maryse and the Divas Championship from SmackDown.

Chris Jericho (now from SD) beat Tommy Dreamer (ECW) – SmackDown gained Rey Mysterio and the Intercontinental Championship from RAW. Another surprisingly good match.

Triple H, Shane McMahon & Batista beat Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase when Triple H pinned DiBiase. As a result Triple H will face Randy Orton next week on RAW.

WWE RAW Results 4.6.09 - The Animal Returns

Published by msatrang under WWE RAW Results Edit This

Tonight WWE followed up a lackluster WrestleMania XXV with a superb Monday Night RAW that hit on all cylinders and was a great fun follow-up. The only thing missing from tonight’s show was an appearance from Undertaker and/or Shawn Michaels, just so at least the crowd could give the two warriors a much-deserved standing ovation.

Randy Orton kicked off the show complaining about his loss to Triple H the night previous and promised to take out the entire McMahon family. The patriarch Mr. McMahon appeared and makes a six man tag for the Backlash pay per view where Orton and Legacy will meet Triple H, Mr. McMahon and Shane McMahon. Orton then challenged McMahon to a singles match tonight, which he readily accepted.

Carlito & Primo Colon beat John Morrison & The Miz in a WWE Unified Tag Team Titles match. The match was also a Lumberjack match, essentially a rematch from last night’s WrestleMania. The match was really quite good and did justice to all these guys who got snubbed from the live pay per view broadcast. It looks as is Miz and Morrison will be split up in next week’s Draft.

WWE Women’s Champion Melina, Layla, Mickie James, Jillian Hall & Kelly Kelly beat WWE Divas Champion Maryse, Natalya Neidhart, Gail Kim, Eve Torres & Maria when Mickie pinned Natalya. It was a pretty good match and got much more time than I anticipated.

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena, WWE Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, CM Punk & Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat beat Edge, The Big Show, Matt Hardy, Kane & Chris Jericho in a 10 man WrestleMania All-Star match when Mysterio pinned Edge at the same time as Steamboat came off with a cross body onto Jericho. This match was about as much fun as you could have in a wrestling match. Ricky Steamboat looked like he was having the time of his life out there and got plenty of offense. The heels all bumped their asses off for the legendary Steamboat and the crowd reacted in kind, including a “You Still Got It” chant. Punk, Mysterio, Hardy and Steamboat may make up one of the greatest collections of Intercontinental Champions in one spot at one time. After the match the good guys gave Steamboat his props and let him have one last curtain call in the middle of the ring. It was great to see Steamboat in the ring for one last weekend; he still worked better than half the current roster. It should be also noted how awesome the heel team was with three ultra-rudos like Edge, Matt and Jericho all working together alongside the two monster enforcers Big Show & Kane.

Vickie Guerrero comes out with her nephew Chavo Guerrero and announces she is now the permanent General Manager of RAW and books Edge versus John Cena for the World Championship at Backlash in a Last Man Standing Match. She also makes the six-man tag between Legacy and The McMahon family a WWE Championship match, where if anyone on Team McMahon wins then Triple H retains the WWE Title, and if anyone on Legacy wins then Orton becomes WWE Champion.

Miss WrestleMania “Santina Marella” comes out to celebrate “her” victory from last night. Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes come out to confront “Santina.” The argument segues into a match between Beth and “Santina” which “Santina” wins. The fans really got a rise oout of the absurd Santino/Santina stuff. Even the announcers Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole couldn’t keep a straight face as they were announcing the “action.” It was a pretty absurd segment but the crowd was having the time of their lives and responded strongly to the absurdity and ended up coming off pretty funny.

Randy Orton versus Mr. McMahon was a no contest when Shane McMahon interfered. Soon Triple H, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes were all involved as well and it degenerated into a six-man brawl. Then as Legacy was gaining the upper hand Batista made his surprise return and cleaned house. Mr. McMahon then announced that Batista would be taking his place in the six-man tag at Backlash.

WWE RAW Results 3.30.09 - Family Matters

Published by msatrang under WWE RAW Results Edit This

In an 18 Divas tag team match, WWE Women’s Champion Melina, Brie Bella, Tiffany, Alicia Fox, Maria, Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, Eve Torres & Gail Kim beat WWE Divas Champion Maryse, Nikki Bella, Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes, Jillian Hall, Katie Lea Burchill, Natalya Neidhart, Layla & Michelle McCool when Tiffany pinned Katie Lea. The match barely lasted two minutes and I think only Mickie, Jillian, Beth, Tiffany and Katie Lea were even a part of the match. Quite the waste. After the match Santino Marella came out to show of his mankini but gets attacked by the Divas.

Chris Jericho beat Jerry “The King” Lawler by submission. After the match Jericho hyped up his WrestleMania match against the aging legends.

Rey Mysterio beat Intercontinental Champion JBL in a non-title match. I’m not really sure of the point of giving a WrestleMania match away six days before the event. Wouldn’t it have been more effective to have JBL pay someone like Vladimir Kozlov or Mike Knox take on Mysterio instead?

The Big Show pinned John Cena clean in the middle of the ring with a chokeslam.

Shawn Michaels came out for a “Funeral for Mr. WrestleMania.” He continues his taunting of Undertaker and once again gets away before Undertaker can get a hold of him and ends up dropping The Dead Man with Sweet Chin Music once again.

Kane won an eight-man battle royal featuring the participants of Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXV. Kane got the last word during ECW last week, won the pinfall during the eight-man tag on last week’s SmackDown and now won this battle royal. It’s pretty safe to say that Kane isn’t winning at WrestleMania.
Order of elimination:
Mark Henry eliminated Finlay
The rest of the participants eliminated Henry
Kane eliminated MVP and Shelton Benjamin
CM Punk eliminated Kofi Kingston
Kane eliminated both Punk and Christian to win the match.

Randy Orton came out to end the show with his “WrestleMania address.” He basically recaps his feud with Triple H before Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon and Triple H make their entrances. The McMahons and Triple H brawl with Orton and Legacy as the show closes. I smell a six-man tag for Backlash.

WWE RAW Results 3.23.09 - The Long Kiss Goodnight

Published by msatrang under WWE RAW Results Edit This

The show opens with Ric Flair already in the ring, who accepts on behalf of Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Rowdy Roddy Piper and “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka to Chris Jericho’s challenge for a handicap match at WrestleMania XXV. Jericho interrupts and cuts a promo as he walks from the production truck to the ring. He and Flair continue their war of words in the ring until Jericho cheap shots Flair. Jericho proceeded completely destroy Flair, leaving him a bloody and beaten mess to send a message to the other legends. Great opening promo to hype up their match at WrestleMania.

Jeff Hardy beat Dolph Ziggler in an Extreme Rules match.

John Cena sent in a video package making fun of Edge, Big Show and Vickie Guerrero. He wasn’t in the arena as he was in LA filming an episode of “The Tonight Show.”

Christian, MVP, Kofi Kingston & CM Punk beat Finlay, Shelton Benjamin, Kane & Mark Henry in an eight man tag when Christian pinned Benjamin. After the match Finlay took out Christian, Punk, Henry, Kane and Henry’s manager Tony Atlas with a ladder.

World Heavyweight Champion Edge versus The Big Show was a no contest when Chavo Guerrero interfered. After the match, Big Show knocked out Edge.

Rey Mysterio pinned William Regal.

The Undertaker came out to cut a promo on Shawn Michaels in preparation for their match at WrestleMania, but Michaels interrupted via video package from a cemetery. Michaels walked through the cemetery recapping Undertaker’s past sixteen WrestleMania victims and then promised to bury Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak. Absolutely great segment to hype up their match.

Mickie James beat Santino Marella with one hand tied behind his back. If Santino were to win he would have been entered in the 25 Diva battle royal at WrestleMania. It was a great comedy segment and a perfect way to break up the seriousness of the rest of the show.

The WWE Champion Triple H v. Randy Orton & Ted DiBiase handicap match never got started as Orton, DiBiase and Cody Rhodes attacked HHH before the match even started. They eventually handcuffed HHH to the ring ropes and beat him mercilessly. Stephanie McMahon then ran out to stop the beating on her husband, but Orton ended up dropping her with a rope assisted DDT. He then continue to taunt a still handcuffed Triple H as Stephanie lied unconscious in the ring. Great, great go-home segment for WrestleMania’s main event.

Published by msatrang under WWE RAW Results Edit This

Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker beat Vladimir Kozlov and WWE Intercontinental Champion John Bradshaw Layfield when Michaels pinned JBL.

Mickie James, Kelly Kelly & WWE Women’s Champion Melina beat Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall & Layla when Melina pinned Beth.

Triple H beat Cody Rhodes in a cage match.

Rey Mysterio pinned Dolph Ziggler.

Chris Jericho came to challenge Ric Flair to a match right then and there. Flair was joined by Superfly Jimmy Snuka, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and Rowdy Roddy Piper. The four legends attacked Jericho who ran off to the back. After the match Jericho challenged Snuka, Steamboat and Piper to a handicap match at WrestleMania XXV.

CM Punk, Kofi Kingston & MVP beat Kane, Mark Henry and WWE United States Champion Shelton Benjamin when Punk pinned Benjamin.

WWE RAW Results 3.9.09 - Triple H in the House

Published by msatrang under WWE RAW Results Edit This

RAW opened tonight live from Jacksonville, Florida, with Shawn Michaels out to address his upcoming match at WrestleMania XXV. Undertaker appeared and the two veterans cut fantastic promos on each other, talking about respect, legends and Undertaker’s Streak. Fantastic opening segment and I wish Undertaker would cut more promos like this. It definitely made their match at WrestleMania infinitely more interesting.

John “Bradshaw” Layfield pinned CM Punk to win the Intercontinental Championship.

They cut to a live interview with Randy Orton and his wife via satellite in their home in St. Louis, MO.

Maryse pinned Melina in a Champion versus Champion match. After the match all the divas from both SmackDown and RAW brawled with each other.

Interim RAW General Manager Vickie Guerrero is out to oversee the World Heavyweight Championship contract signing between the Champion Edge and The Big Show, scheduled for WrestleMania XXV. Both men sign the contract, but as expected John Cena comes out and goes into an overly long bit before revealing that he has security camera footage of Big Show and Vickie fooling around. The punch line is that John Cena will be added to the Show-Edge Title match to make it a triple threat match.

Kofi Kingston pinned Chris Jericho to advance to Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXV thanks to distraction from Ric Flair.

Koko B. Ware is the next inductee in the Class of 2009 Hall of Fame. And he will be inducted by the Honky Tonk Man. Random.

Rey Mysterio, Finlay & Christian beat Kane, John Morrison & The Miz when Mysterio pinned Morrison.

Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes beat Triple H by forfeit when Triple H never showed up. As expected, Triple H was actually in St. Louis instead and invades Randy Orton’s home. Triple H and Orton get into a pretty wild brawl all around Orton’s house before the cops to show up to arrest HHH. Good hot segment to end the show.

Pulse Wrestling has detailed results to check out.

WWE RAW Results 3.2.09 - Championship Turmoil

Published by msatrang under WWE RAW Results Edit This

Monday Night RAW was live tonight from Boston, Massachusetts, and helped shape the road to WrestleMania.

Chris Jericho opened the show hosting his own mock version of Rowdy Roddy Piper’s “Piper’s Pit.” He brought out wrestling legend Superfly Jimmy Snuka in a homage to the original Piper’s Pit segment between Snuka and Piper from back in 1984. This time Snuka didn’t get hit by a coconut, but was attacked by Jericho and the set was destroyed.

Kane beat Mike Knox and Rey Mysterio in a triple threat match to earn a spot in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXV.

Kelly Kelly & Mickie James beat Jillian Hall & Beth Phoenix when Kelly pinned Jillian. After the match, Divas Champion Maryse laid out Womens Champion Melina. Both Champions were providing commentary during the match.

Randy Orton, Legacy and a bevy of security, lawyers and doctors came out to announce that Orton would challenge the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania, rather than WWE Champion Triple H. HHH came out to confront Orton, who threatened to arrest HHH for assault after last week’s attack. The two men continue to have a battle of the words, until Orton changes his mind and opts not to press charges against Triple H, but rather challenge him at WrestleMania instead.

Shawn Michaels pinned Vladimir Kozlov to earn the right to face Undertaker at WrestleMania XXV. After the match Undertaker came out to stare down Michaels.

John Cena beat Edge by disqualification in a World Heavyweight Championship match. After the match SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero came out with Big Show to flank Edge. She then announced that Big Show is the new number one contender for the World Title.

Check out Pulse Wrestling, wwe.com and 411Mania for more detailed results.
